D’Tukad River Club & Kemenuh Butterfly Park- Ubud

D’Tukad River Club & Kemenuh Butterfly Park- Ubud

We hired a taxi driver for the five of us for four hours- 500,000rupiah between us.

We were planning on just going to the river club but the taxi driver suggested stopping at the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. Entry was 100,000rupiah-we got a glass of orange juice when we bought the ticket (?😂)

The area is nice, there are beautiful plants all around the path and hundreds of butterflies around. There’s a room that has gigantic moths that you can hold. There is a restaurant on the grounds as well- while it is really nice we spent less than half an hour there.

There is a 20,000rp fee for the waterfall at D’tukad that you pay before entering the actual river club. At the river club entrance there are different package options- we got a package that included lunch, a drink, the extreme swing, and the swimming pool for 394,000rupiah. After picking this option- I would suggest picking a package that didn’t include food.

We got in and sat down to order- there is a set menu for the voucher with maybe 10 options- Balinese, Thai and Western. I ordered the chicken sandwich and French fries- and it was a small, half sandwich and literally 6 French fries. So I was disappointed and hungry but the Balinesse food options seemed to be a better portion.

After lunch we headed for the extreme swings. Extreme is definitely accurate- you get a harness and are buckled into the swing- the first round you face out over the waterfall. The employees kept pushing me so it felt like I was going higher and higher. They take you off the swing and turn you around so your swinging backwards- facing into the restaurant. This was a little freaky because they start you out practically laying down. It’s fun to do and obvs good for Instagram pics.

The waterfall is great- it’s down a steep set of stairs and there are more ‘frames’ and artwork to take #instapics at. The water was surprisingly cold at the waterfall but refreshing anyway.

Back up by the pool there are seating areas with bean bags or sun loungers, and high top tables in the bar area.
